ES Recruit are currently recruiting for experienced Structural Steel Platers on behalf of Newbridge Engineering based in Hartlepool.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing heavy engineering workshop working on large structural steel projects with long-term work available.

The Role

• Plating and fabricating structural steel
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• MIG welding for tacking and small fillet welds
• Working within a heavy fabrication workshop
• Using overhead cranes safely and efficiently

Pay Rates

• £18.00 per hour PAYE
• £23.20 per hour Umbrella/Ltd

Overtime Rates

• Time and a half for evenings and Saturdays until 12pm
• Double time after 12pm Saturday onwards

Working Hours

Monday - Thursday

07:30am - 5:00pm

Friday

07:30am - 4:00pm

30-minute unpaid break daily.

Requirements

• Previous structural steel plating experience
• Able to read engineering drawings
• MIG welding experience for tacking and small fillets
• Experience using overhead cranes
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Health & safety conscious
